Vol. #91. January-February 2006

Pleased Be Advised!

The end of Maple Drive is closed from Piute on due to extremely bad washouts and dangerous conditions. No one should travel on this portion of the road. It will be opened as soon as possible. In the meantime, please access your properties through Lake Shore Road until further notice.

Please note as well that due to the warm and wet winter, we have had no frost to harden the road base. This can lead to ruts and mud when overweight vehicles travel the roads. Please be aware of the soft conditions to help avoid costly repairs.

An Important Reminder

Shohola Township Ordinance #52 requires that all homes and businesses within the Township have "911" address signs to ensure that emergency vehicles are able to locate you in the event of an emergency. This ordinance requires that all property owners prominently display their "911" house number so that it is visible from the road.

The Shohola Township Park and Recreation Commission is raising funds for the new baseball park, located on Twin Lakes Road, by selling hand-made wooden reflective house signs. Signs are $15.00 each. Applications are available at the Municipal Building, 159 Twin Lakes Road, Shohola or at the WLLA office.

Mark Your Calendars!

Looking out at the frozen lake and snow-covered ground, thoughts of summer are far away. However, July is just around the corner and with it comes The Annual Beach Party and Picnic, which will be held on July 22, 2006. As always, Barb DiMaio promises us good weather!
